Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

Sam turns 4 tomorrow!!!! Ahhh!!!! Someone help me! I want to cry. I can't believe he's already 4. It's all going by too fast. But he is so cute! At church yesterday, he wore the cutest polo-style shirt, but instead of the dude playing polo on the front, it had a little lizzard. And he had on khakis and brown shoes ... he looked to much like his (wonderful!) dad.

We've been in the house for over 6 months now. That's also hard to believe. We are having so much fun here. We all went down to the ravine on the back half of our land, where we've got an old table and some chairs set up on a little platform that John dug out a while back. It's supposed to get HOT again today, but it felt so nice down there earlier. We also did our Bible verse for the week, and read a little bit. Then John and I spelled words in the sand on the table, and the kids practiced writing their letters and reading the words.

Mom and Wes and his friends leave for Galveston this afternoon, and we'll go up to join them on Thursday evening. The kids and John are really looking forward to it. Me? I'm not so crazy about the beach, but I am crazy about all of my family, so I'll have a great time, too. Sherry is coming up Saturday, and bringing a fish cake for Sam, so we'll have his little family party then. I think Papa might come visit, too, but he may have other plans. Who knows?

We watched the Astros game last night, where we were leading 9-1 in the 8th inning, and ended up winning 10-9 in the 13th. Good grief, do we know how to blow a game. And almost blow a game. But I still loooooove the Astros. At one point during the game, I had 5 hands of my belly. Both hands of each kid, and one of John's. The kids love to feel the baby kick, and s/he was really moving around last night.

Have I mentioned that John is the best dad EVER? Cause he is. I have never seen a father have more fun just hanging out with his kids! It never ceases to amaze me how much people miss out with their kids, just because they're 'too busy.' Whatever. If you get too busy for your family, you've got problems, because outside of your relationship with the Lord, there is not a damned thing that is more improtant than family.

So there.

Verse for the week:

Proverbs 13:20 "He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."

We've been studying wisdom lately, and it's been interesting to see the kids learn this stuff. I love it! And on that note, I have laundry to do and a bagel to eat.
